OVERVIEW
The WMarketplace is partnering with California’s Office of Business and Economic Development, GO-Biz, to bring a new export training program to California’s women-owned small businesses. Launching in February of 2025, this new program will offer six weeks of small, interactive virtual workshops to 45 businesses from North, Central and Southern California. The following 12 weeks of mentorship will focus on reviewing content and building an export strategic plan.

HOW IT WORKS
Three cohorts of 15 businesses each (45 total), one each from North, Central and Southern California, will launch simultaneously the week of February 3. Each workshop will be two hours, delivered virtually in English and Spanish. All program content will be translated into Spanish. The workshop content is centered on practical knowledge and tools to help a small, new-to-export business explore international opportunities and create an export strategic plan. Twelve weeks of mentorship will follow the workshop series during which mentors will review workshop content, answer questions, and guide the businesses toward an export plan. Small cohorts enable community, networking and opportunity for questions and interaction.
